Funding

Although we use recycled parts wherever possible, we do have overheads and certain items which have to be bought in (brake pads, tyres, locks, etc.). We rely on cash donations and occasional funding applications to keep going.  Any money is gratefully received (we estimate it costs us an average of £50 to send out a bike and accessories for an asylum seeker).

We also get financial support from companies and organisations who want to help in the community. In recent years this has included Lush Cosmetics, LoadHog Transit Packaging, and the University of Sheffield. In return we can offer outreach events, placements and corporate volunteering opportunities. Again, if your company would like to work with Comac then drop us a message.
